So Akash comes to my house and in his famous style he says "Didi, bada man hai Gurui ko airport recieve karne ka. Chalo chalte hai!" Guruji was supposed to reach Bangalore at 1:30AM in night. My businessman mind starts working... I have this work, that work, will I be productive if I don't sleep in night etc. But finally I happen to go. Prashant also joined. Ankit and Akash almost kidnapped Aditya in sleep from his home to join us to airport! Five of us left for airport! Ankit was driving us. On the way we were drenched in music, guru stories and laughter!
We reach airport and after lot of planning, chaos and discussion we finally decided to park the car in parking. The airport for the first time appeared like home. It was converted into ashram! Known faces were all around! We were all drenched in love and craziness! I looked round there were all kind of people, people who came to ask personal questions to Guruji. People who wanted papering. Few came with birthday cake and wanted Guruji to cut it. And then there were few who wanted to pamper Guruji. They got food for him. And there were people who didn't want anything..they were just there! I was thinking why I am here! Which category do I belong to?
Those beautiful moments of waiting for him at airport! I looked around I am sure at the same time many VIPs must be coming. There were people outside with some name tags waiting of their guests! Their face was so dry as opposed to all of us who were drenched in love and longing at the same time! I was thinking is that not what even I would like? I wouldn't surely like if someone comes to receive me with dull or professional attitude. I would love a warm welcome like Guruji! And the only way to get is to live like him! One can give only what one has. I am among very few lucky once to receive so much unconditional love! If I have it, it can only be me who can pass it on!
He arrives! All shouting "Guruji!" He is as usual happy and sparking even at 1:45AM after long travel! People didn't leave even at airport from their personal botheration! Wanted him to answer their questions, cut their cake, wanted him to eat the food they got for him and wanted him to accept the gifts and letters they got for him! People expected him to pamper them in dark night on airport after his tiring travel! And no doubt he did all that even at 1:45AM with smile! Finally he sits in his car with sparkling eyes with no symptoms of tiredness!
His car passes and finally we run and Ankit attempts to catch his car on the way. Surprisingly All cars that night appeared like his car until we go close :-) Its the beautiful knowledge that Bawa usually talks about in his courses "You see what you are looking for. If you are looking for reasons to be grateful you will see that all around. If you looking for reasons to be sad you will find them in abundance too!" While chasing we were thrilled and happy! Though we could never catch (even see) his car! But the thrill and happiness in and around us was enough evidence that we already caught him! We come back early morning back at home to do Padmasadhana (meditation) together! It was super fun!
That day I experienced When we run behind materialistic things it only drains body, mind and consciousness. But even a failed attempt to chase the divine.. enlivens us to each particle of the body and spirit! I am grateful to Akash and Ankit to take me to Airport that night! I never felt so much happiness at airport before :-D
